INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
My passion and calling is to help married couples (as my practice name suggests) but I also thoroughly enjoy counseling individuals of all ages. It would be my pleasure to meet you, right where you are in life, and come along side you to help you become the best version of yourself.
COUPLES THERAPY
A marriage is one of the most important relationships you will have in your life. It is my joy to help each couple rediscover the best in their mate. We’ll work to identify and clearly communicate each of your needs to improve your communication and connection.
FAMILY THERAPY
When there are breakdowns of communication within a family, the ramifications can be pervasive. If you have tried to repair it on your own, it might be time to seek professional help. Having a counselor as a neutral party present alone can be helpful, but we can do far more together.
Hello! I’m Sabrina Rensink
REGISTERED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST INTERN
After staying home with my children and helping my husband start an IT training business, I decided to pursue my passion for helping people by becoming a counselor. I completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Colorado Christian University. If you’re struggling in life or your relationships, I would love to walk alongside you in your journey. I welcome you to come as you are and I will offer empathy and compassion. I look forward to working with you.

MY APPROACH
I have received training in the Gottman Method for couples (works great for families too), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) for couples, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I have also studied and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and various other modalities. My approach is an eclectic style custom made for each client. I went to school and learned many things, but you are the expert of you and therapy is not a one size fits all solution.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you accept insurance?
No, not at this time. I am unable to be on the insurance panels as a Registered Intern, but I intentionally keep my fees lower so it makes it easier to pay out of pocket. Not working with insurance means that you will not need a diagnosis to see me or have a company tell us how to best help you.
How long does therapy take to work?
Classic answer: it depends. Every situation and person/people are different, but it is my goal to work myself out of a job and to get you the resources to do the work on your own so that you are not dependant on me. We will see eachother more at the beginning and then space our our sessions to see how you do, and go from there.
What is a Registered Intern?
A Registered Intern, like myself, has completed a masters degree and student internship in counseling. After graduation we are considered “pre-licensed” with the state of Florida and we accrue hours toward full licensure. This process takes an additional 2-5 years after our masters degree is finished. A registered intern needs to be under the supervision of a fully licensed therapist and will consult with them to make sure all clients receive the highest level of care.
How much do you charge?
90 minutes = $90, 60 minutes = $65, 45 minutes = $50
(all rates subject to change, with notice)
